South Falls

The place where the Archlond Sea drains into Archlond’s South River is called the South Falls, though the name also applies to the subsequent series of brief falls and rivulets that get the river started. There is also a small town with a castle that stands watch here over the Southern Gap that shares the name, and a small elven fishing hamlet nearby that takes the name by association – though some now call it Flotsam.

“Is there a Jetsam too?” – human traveller
“Isn’t there always?” – common elvish reply
